Girls’ Generation Appearance Japanese Variety Show "Mechaike"



Girls’ Generation appeared on a very popular Japanese variety show 'Mecha Mecha Iketeru(Mecha Ike)' as their first appearance in a Japanese variety show.

The show aired on March 31 hosted by famous Japanese comedy duo Ninety Nine was a special episode for 3 hours broadcast. Takeshi Okamura and Hiroyuki Yabe, the members of Ninety Nine, and other Japanese comedian went to Seoul, Korea to film this show with Girls’ Generation.

In the episode 6 Japanese comedians acted as members of "Okamura Expedition Team" that is looking for "Girls Tribe" acted by Girls’ Generation, the descendants of ancient people having lived in Seoul.

Having arrived in the backside of a building, SM Entertainment Office, which was said to a place where Girls Generation gathers often. First comedians waited at the backside of the building and tried to film 9 members with hidden camera successfully.

Okamura who officially said he was a fan of Sooyoung, said "Sooyoung ~!" when he saw her at an extremely close range.

The narrator of the show explained about Girls’ Generation saying, "Their long legs and white skin are very beautiful grabbing the attention of everyone.”

When the comedians were looking for Girls’ Generation in SM Entertainment office, they meet with Super Junior's Eunhyuk and Donghae. Comedians asked them how they can catch 'Girls Tribe,' and Eunhyuk said "It is difficult but I know one way to catch them." Eunhyuk seemed to have important information about Girls’ Generation, but he instead interestingly promoted their new Japanese duet song 'Oppa, Oppa' which will be released on April 4, saying "By singing and dancing 'Oppa, Oppa,' you can catch them."

After Super Junior's appearance, comedians went to a Head quarter room of their expedition team and learned information of each member of Girls Generation.

When Girls Generation started to practice dances of 'Gee' and 'GENIE,' Takashi Fujii a Japanese comedian, who is also an enthusiastic fan of Girls Generation, danced behind them even though he had to act as a photographer of press.

Finally, Japanese comedian team could catch all 9 members by a net that was set up on the roof when 9 members gathered to get snack from their staff.
