On July 15, an official stated that they will be holding their 3rd annual 'Latin America K-Pop Competition' at the Paseo la Plaza (520 seats) in Argentina on August 18.
This contest will be sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Argentina's South Korea Embassy Center, LG Electronics and Kia Motors.
This past June, they finished the preliminary round, with contestants from 13 countries, 151 teams and 339 people.
15 teams from 11 different countries made it to the final round through their contest entries on YouTube.
An official stated, "Compared to last year, the contestants have more of a wide range of music genres. Their skills have also gotten better, making this contest more interesting."
They will have an 'online video voting poll' to help the judges in choosing the winner.
'K-Pop Competition Supporters' is a new program where they can help the contestants one on one with stage outfits and such for the team that they want to support.
This competition is the only one that allows contestants from not only their home country but other countries as well.
The past two seasons of the contest was also a success. The winner of this year's contest will be able to attend and perform in Korea in October at the 'K-Pop World Festival'.
