YG receives 3 design awards: Going global

YG Entertainment was acknowledged for its stunning design as it received 3 awards in world-renown design awards.

According to YG on Jan 24, it received Guideline Document award at the Brand New Award 2012, Graphic/Identity/Packing award at the Good Design Award in 2013, and Communication Design award at IF Design Award this year, 2014.

Brand New Award 2012 was hosted by Brand New, where worldly designers receive and share information. World-class brands entered the competition, and YG’s victory was the one and only brand designed in South Korea.

Good Design Award began in 1950 in the U.S., where top brands like Apple, BMW, Audi, B&O and Starbucks won the awards. IF Design Award, dubbed the Oscar of the design world, is the largest and most influential global design award. Many international brands and companies won awards here, making all three awards world-renown.

In the second half of 2012, YG worked with Plus X for 6 months to carry out the YG Brand Identity renewal project. The project aimed to branch out YG brand to the world, shaping it into a brand that defines culture and lifestyles beyond music.
The winning of prizes shows YG is already at a global level in brand identity and design, apart from producing staggering artists.
