DAESUNG 1ST K-POP SINGER TO BRING IN 100,000 FANS 2 YEARS IN A ROW FOR JAPAN CONCERT

Just like the other members of Big Bang, Daesung is just as strong going solo.
Daesung completed his solo concert in Budokan yesterday, becoming the first K-pop solo artist to bring in more than 100,000 fans to his concert tour for two consecutive years.
The idol member began his “D-LITED Live 2014 in Japan D’Slove” solo arena tour in June. During his recent concert, he took the time to express to fans how thankful he is for their ongoing support.
“Last year, I discovered my fan’s love. This year, I am back to return the love that I received before. My hope is to continue making concerts that everyone can enjoy and relate to,” stated Daesung.
The 25-year-old performed a total of 20 songs, including his recent hits, during the three-hour concert.
Daesung has been making headlines with his latest solo album, “D’Slove,” which ranked No. 1 on the Oricon daily album chart this week, according to Allkpop. The album sold 30,099 copies the day it was released, according to YG Entertainment.
Daesung made sure to thanks fans after his first top ranking on the Oricon chart by tweeting, “Because of you all, my album ranked in at #1 on the Oricon daily album chart.”
The singer had previously ranked No. 2 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with his solo debut album titled “D’scover,” which was released in Japan in February 2013, according to Yonhap News.
With “D’Slove,” Daesung proved to fans and music critics that he’s capable of topping his previous material. “D’Slove” is fully in Japanese and consists of 10 tracks, including four from his mini-digital album “Rainy Rainy,” which topped the Japanese iTunes’ album chart last month.
Despite the singer’s successful career as a solo artist, his initial step to becoming a one-man act was a scary one.
“I felt a lot of pressure and was really scared and nervous,” Daesung had previously stated regarding his debut in Japan.
